Jeff Stelling: Ralf Rangnick not knowing Leeds v Manchester United rivalry could work against him
Jeff Stelling has insisted that Leeds may have the best brought out of them after Ralf Rangnick admitted he didn’t know they were a rival of Manchester United.
The Sky Sports host admitted that Marcelo Bielsa certainly knows all about it, and this could be a perfect motivation.
Michael Dawson was not impressed with the German, insisting he should have done his “homework” ahead of the showdown.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday (19 February), Stelling shared what could work in Leeds’ favour today.
“I just wonder though,” he said.
“Ralf Rangnick said he wasn’t aware of the rivalry, Marcelo Bielsa is certainly aware of the rivalry, he said that this is a classic game that is very motivating.

“I wonder if that will bring the best out of Leeds?”
Dawson responded at hit back at the German coach who should have researched the fixture before speaking out.
“Ralf Rangnick should have done his homework before he come out and said that, the rivalry is massive.
“He’s got to perform, these Leeds fans are going to turn up there, and you never know what you’re going to get with Leeds, you really don’t.”
Bring it on.
If Rangnick didn’t know about this rivalry before the game, he will certainly know about it as soon as he leaves the tunnel this afternoon.
We also hope that some of the Manchester United squad such as Cristiano Ronaldo take this one for granted, especially given that every last one of our squad will be raring to go.
Leeds fans have been waiting for the chance to play this rivalry in front of a packed Elland Road for decades now, and it is finally here.
Even with injuries, we know that anything is possible with Bielsa at the helm, and these players will be giving it all to get those three points.
Hopefully, we see Rangnick with egg on his face at the full-time whistle and Elland Road going crazy with three points in the bag.
