Jeff Stelling predicts scoreline of Leeds clash v Cardiff

Jeff Stelling has predicted Leeds United to extend their winning streak to eight consecutive matches when they welcome Cardiff City to Elland Road on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men went top of the Championship standings this week as they beat Hull and title rivals West Brom were held to a draw away at Wigan.

Leeds are level on points with the Baggies but lead them narrowly on goal difference, meaning they go into their clash with Cardiff this weekend top of the pile.

Stelling has tipped the Whites to win yet again on Saturday, predicting on Sky Sports’ Super Six website that it will be a 2-0 victory for the Yorkshire giants.

Charlie Nicholas, Phil Thompson and Matt Le Tissier have all also predicted a win for Leeds.

As long as Leeds win by the same margin as West Brom, or better the Baggies’ result, they will stay top.

Slaven Bilic’s side have a short trip to St Andrew’s to take on West Midlands rivals Birmingham City, which has been a game that West Brom have usually won in recent years.

If Leeds want to stay top of the pile then they need to win convincingly against Cardiff and, luckily for them, the Welsh side have been awful on the road this season, winning just once way from home all season.

With all of the Super Soccer Saturday pundits backing Leeds for a win, it is really hard to see anything but that as an outcome this weekend.

In other Leeds United news, fans want this player sold after Bielsa offered an update on him.
