Jeff Stelling predicts result of Leeds United Premier League clash vs Bournemouth
Jeff Stelling has predicted Leeds United to pick up a narrow win over Bournemouth in their Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites ended an eight-game winless run with a 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield last time out, moving them out of the relegation zone and relieving some of the pressure on manager Jesse Marsch.
Now they return to Elland Road to keep up the momentum before the World Cup break, and Sky Sports host Stelling has told Super 6 (4 November) that he thinks Leeds will pick up a 1-0 win to make it back-to-back wins for the first time since August.
If they’re to be successful they will have to do it without Colombian winger Luis Sinisterra who has suffered a torn muscle and will be out until after the World Cup.
Getting a win over Liverpool will mean very little if Leeds can’t follow it up with a win over fellow strugglers Bournemouth a week later and find themselves in the same struggling position.
Winning both would be a real message that Jesse Marsch could be able to turn things around going forward, and will almost certainly buy him time as manager of the club.
Bournemouth had been in good form until recently but have now lost their last three games in a row and their confidence will be at a complete low now.
The Whites must take full advantage of that and use a rocking Elland Road to make a fast start and put them to the sword, while potentially building confidence with a good defensive display too.
This is a rare occurrence that will see Leeds enter a game in the Premier League as favourites, and they have no excuses not to leave it victorious.
