Jeff Stelling drops Daniel Farke sack hint after what he’s seen at Leeds

Jeff Stelling believes the next four matches for Leeds United will decide Daniel Farke’s future amid heavy pressure.

The German has struggled in recent matches, and ended the international break with a terrible 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

As a result, calls for Farke to be sacked at Leeds have only gotten louder, with the Peacocks closing in on the relegation zone.

While Farke is not believed to be under imminent risk of the sack at Elland Road, this could also change in the coming games.

Jeff Stelling: Daniel Farke needs a win in his next four matches

Leeds’ upcoming matches are incredibly tough.

The Peacocks face numerous big teams, with each of the next four clubs finishing in the top six last season.

Nevertheless, results need to be delivered, or Leeds will likely find themselves in the relegation zone sooner rather than later.

While the Peacocks are unlikely to be favourites for any of these fixtures, Stelling has now suggested on talkSPORT on 17 November, that if Farke does not oversee a win in his next four, his job may be at risk.

He said: “If you look at their upcoming games: Villa at home, Man City away, Chelsea at home, Liverpool at home. It’s an incredibly tough run of games and I think Daniel Farke cannot afford to come out of those games empty-handed.

“He certainly needs a ‘W’ next to one of those games, that is for sure.”

Farke sacking at Leeds inevitable

Unfortunately for Farke, there seems to be an inevitability about his sacking this season.

The fact that Leeds almost sacked Farke upon promotion last season speaks volumes, with his Premier League record remaining poor.

Now, with several tough teams up next, it’s hard to imagine the German still being in charge at Christmas, barring a significant turnaround in form.

With names such as Carlos Corberan already linked to Leeds, it is likely that Paraag Marathe is already preparing a succession plan for the German, ready for the inevitable.
