Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist taken aback by what they’ve seen about Leeds – ‘Wow, scary…’

Leeds United know they could soon face a bleak future, not long after what was a positive start in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke came under fire for the tactics he used, as well as team selection choices, after Leeds’ 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday at the Amex Stadium.

Making his first appearance back against the Whites, Georginio Rutter had an excellent game, as Leeds fans helplessly watched their former star punishing them.

Leeds now face a real prospect of Premier League relegation, and from what Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist have seen, the Whites may be in danger sooner rather than later.

Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist fearful of Leeds’ upcoming fixtures

Leeds have still made a good start to the Premier League, beating the likes of Everton, Wolves, and West Ham. However, they have slipped up somewhat in recent games.

Speaking live on talkSPORT on 3 November, Stelling and McCoist were discussing the bottom end of the Premier League, and both voiced their opinions on what they found to be “scary” for the Whites.

McCoist said: “Leeds and Burnley are in 16th and 17th.”

Stelling added: “Look at the fixtures, Leeds have got Nottingham Forest away, then Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool in the four after that.”

McCoist could only reply “wow”.

After that, Stelling asked if McCoist found that to be frightful from a Leeds perspective, to which he simply replied: “Yeah, that is scary.”

Daniel Farke could be sacked at the end of tough Leeds run

Farke is under pressure already at Leeds, and his post-match comments after the Brighton game didn’t make for good listening for Whites fans.

Leeds should be at least giving fans hope with performances, but Brighton was a reality check on the gulf in quality from the Championship to the Premier League, as Farke keeps making excuses.

Leeds’ next five Premier League fixtures

It is no surprise to see Leeds as the underdogs heading into all five of their next Premier League fixtures, as they all prove a very difficult test for the Whites.

Granted, the fixtures do get a lot better after this run; however, the damage may already have been delivered once these five games are over, as Farke’s time could soon be up.

Leeds just need to stay out of the bottom three, or at least remain within touching distance at the other side of this daunting run – fight is all that is asked for.
