Jed York instantly reacts to Leeds development as 49ers boss sends message
Jed York made his feelings apparent after Leeds United made the 49ers proud.
Leeds celebrated Easter Monday (21 April) by running riot over Stoke City at Elland Road, with Joel Piroe’s four-goal haul firing them to a thumping 6-0 victory.
The joy did not end there as Sheffield United’s 2-1 defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor later sealed their promotion to the Premier League.
After last year’s playoff heartbreak at Wembley, the Whites have booked their ticket to the top flight with two games still left to play this time.

Paraag Marathe ally sends message after Leeds promotion
With that, Leeds have earned promotion back to the Premier League for the first time under the ownership of the San Francisco 49ers.
The NFL outfit were quick to express their excitement after their sister football club’s achievement on Monday.
However, York was quicker, as he took to social media just minutes after the Peacocks’ promotion was confirmed to send a message.
“Yes!”, the 49ers CEO wrote on his personal X handle (21 April) with a dramatic exaggeration on the ‘s’ and exclamation marks.
Team | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Points |
1. Leeds (P) | 44 | 27 | 13 | 4 | 94 |
2. Burnley (P) | 44 | 26 | 16 | 2 | 94 |
3. Sheffield United | 44 | 27 | 7 | 10 | 86 |
While York may not be a popular figure among the Leeds fanbase, he certainly plays a key role in the club’s administration as the 49ers’ chief and a board member at Elland Road.
York and his close friend Marathe own over 10 per cent of the 49ers Enterprises Partners LLC, the parent company of 49ers Enterprises Global Football Group LLC.

Marathe yet to break silence on Elland Road triumph
Meanwhile, Marathe is yet to break his silence on Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League, although an announcement is expected in due course.
The Whites chairman is poised to address the fans of the West Yorkshire outfit at some point, especially as the supporters will want to know the plans for next season.
With two games still left to play, the promotion party is expected to carry on for at least two more weeks.
Nevertheless, the fans are in for an exciting summer transfer window as the Elland Road outfit return to the Premier League.
