Jayden Bogle in danger of suspension after incident in Leeds’ victory over Liverpool

Jayden Bogle is on track for a one-match suspension in the Premier League after he was booked against Liverpool.

Bogle had a solid game for Leeds against the Reds as they pulled off a shock comeback to pick up a valuable point.

The full-back has been ever-present in Daniel Farke’s side this season and has started in every Premier League match.

However, Leeds’ survival ambitions in the Premier League could now take a hit, with Bogle on track for a suspension.

Jayden Bogle one yellow card away from Premier League suspension

In the Premier League, if you pick up five yellow cards between match day one and 19, you will receive a one-match suspension.

On Saturday, Bogle received his fourth booking of the season in the division as he tripped Cody Gakpo midway through the first half when Liverpool looked to counter.

Now, the full-back will need to avoid picking up a yellow card in Leeds’ next four matches.

If he can get past the Liverpool fixture on 1 January without being booked again, he will avoid a suspension, with the threshold being increased to 10 yellow cards until match day 32.

Who else at Leeds United is at risk of a suspension?

On top of Bogle, Ethan Ampadu is also at risk of suspension at Leeds, with the captain on four yellow cards.

Pascal Struijk is also a slight risk, with the centre-back on three yellow cards going into the festive period.

Therefore, Farke may have to manage his squad to ensure that as many people are available for this busy period of games.

If not, at least three Leeds players could be ruled out of a fixture due to the yellow card suspension rules.
