Javi Gracia to axe Patrick Bamford for Leeds United v Liverpool, Adam Forshaw tipped to start by Sky pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has suggested Rodrigo or Georginio Rutter could replace Patrick Bamford for Leeds United’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.
Javi Gracia’s side are coming off of a damaging 5-1 loss to Crystal Palace and are looking to avoid consecutive home defeats against Jurgen Klopp’s men on Monday evening (17 April).
Speaking ahead of the clash at Elland Road, Robinson would like to see Willy Gnonto and Adam Forshaw return to the starting XI.

“He’s got to make changes after that performance against Nottingham Forest,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“He has to make a statement. Sinisterra was excellent against Nottingham Forest and was man of the match. Gnonto has to come back in. There’s a case for playing Rodrigo instead of Patrick Bamford.
“Liam Cooper if he’s fit, for me, gets back in the side and some may raise eyebrows but I’d give Adam Forshaw a chance as well. He’s been out injured for a long time but there’s a lack of leadership in that team.

“With Forshaw, Ayling and Cooper you get leadership and at this stage in the season you need leaders on the pitch.
“There’s also a case for Rutter to maybe come in. It’s a battle between him and Rodrigo to replace Bamford.
“The Liverpool game isn’t season-defining but they can’t roll over and get beat.”
“They can’t roll over a get their belly’s tickled on Monday.”
Liverpool have been given an injury boost ahead of the fixture on Monday (17 April) with Luiz Diaz set to return to the matchday squad. However, Naby Keita, Calvin Ramsay, and Stefan Bajcetic are all out of the trip to West Yorkshire.
In other Leeds United news, Victor Orta has made another huge error to compound the Jean-Kévin Augustin saga.
