Jason Cundy embarrasses himself live on air days after what he said to Leeds fan – This is why

Jason Cundy’s hypocrisy over Leeds United has come to the fore after celebrating Arsenal’s draw at lowly Wolves on Wednesday.

For talkSPORT listeners, former Chelsea player Cundy is, arguably, best known for his ‘Has anyone seen?!’ segments where he pokes fun at rival teams’ failures.

On Wednesday night, Arsenal let a two-goal lead slip at Premier League basement side Wolves, prompting Cundy to do his latest rendition of his popular bit on the airwaves.

The former Ipswich Town player let rip at Mikel Arteta, while wearing a mask of the Spaniard, Arsenal fan and Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Gunnersaurus, among others, as co-host Jamie O’Hara chuckled.

However, this latest clip flies in the face of something he said following Leeds‘ 2-2 draw at Chelsea on 10 February.

Jason Cundy’s hypocrisy writ large after Leeds and Arsenal results

Chelsea appeared to be cruising to a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, only for Daniel Farke‘s side to mount an impressive comeback.

Not long after the match finished, a Leeds fan rang into the show to mock Cundy and do his own rendition of ‘Has anyone seen?!’ to the ex-defender.

A smiling Cundy then said, “You can’t do it on a draw,” something that was backed up by former Tottenham man O’Hara.

The joyous Leeds fan politely disagreed, using every second of his call to poke fun at Chelsea supporter Cundy.

But the fact that Cundy has done one of these segments for league leaders Arsenal, days after saying you can’t do it for a draw, is rank hypocrisy.

And on social media, some football fans were quick to point this out.

Incidentally, many fans of the Elland Road outfit will hope they aren’t on the receiving end of such mockery ahead of tough tests against Aston Villa and Manchester City.

Leeds face crucial period in bid to stay in Premier League

Heading into the final 12 games of the season, Leeds are 15th in the Premier League and sit six points above the relegation zone.

They have managed to bring the likes of Tottenham, Brighton, and Crystal Palace back into the mix, but a rejuvenated West Ham are keeping them honest.

The 49ers Enterprises only signed Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton in January, representing something of a gamble for the Yorkshire outfit.

And that risk may seem like a costly one after their match away at third-placed Villa on Saturday, followed by hosting second-positioned City on 28 February.

Feasibly, West Ham could be level on points with Leeds if the Whites lose their next two games, which will lead to panic amongst the fanbase.

But if Leeds can come out of this period with a gap between them and the relegation zone, upcoming games against Sunderland, Crystal Palace, and Wolves will give them hope of surviving.
