Jamie Shackleton and Tyler Roberts set to leave Leeds United on loan this week

Leeds United will reportedly see two more players following Charlie Cresswell out of the door this summer.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Jamie Shackleton and Tyler Roberts are likely to finalise their loan exits this week.

Roberts has been linked with moves to QPR and Hull City while Shackleton has seen a number of clubs express an interest in his services.

Right decision?

Cresswell has already joined Millwall in order to garner some first-team minutes next season after a breakthrough campaign at Elland Road.

He knew that he was unlikely to get similar minutes in 2022/23 as he was pushed up the pecking order to the number of injuries.

Shackleton was part of the first team and got his chances under Marcelo Bielsa who preferred playing him at right-back despite him preferring to play in central midfield.

However, Jesse Marsch never seemed to rate him highly and maybe he could prove the American wrong one season out on loan.

Roberts was allowed to leave by Bielsa and Marsch also does not seem interested in stopping him from another campaign at another club.

Hopefully, the Whites do not lack players in depth as all these players could put in a shift during the business end of the season.

It’s good that they’re not yet being sold as another season on loan could increase their valuation or give Leeds more options in their first team.

In other Leeds United news, the club have now opened talks with an ‘Incredible’ title-winning central midfielder to replace Kalvin Phillips.
