Jamie O’Hara delivers verdict on Leeds United summer signing Manor Solomon live on talkSPORT

Leeds United signing Manor Solomon has impressed Jamie O’Hara after arriving on loan from his former club Tottenham Hotspur.

O’Hara, alongside Jason Cundy, gave his view to a Leeds-supporting radio caller live on talkSPORT on Wednesday night [4 September] to claim that he thinks Solomon is a “good player”.

The 25-year-old winger was brought to the club last week by Daniel Farke on loan from Spurs and made his mark on his debut, claiming an assist for Mateo Joseph as he played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Hull City.

Responding to the caller’s view that some exciting additions were made at Elland Road, O’Hara said: “You got Solomon from Spurs didn’t you?

“He’s alright, I liked him. He’s a good player, he’s good.”

Leeds United aim to get the best out of Manor Solomon

Leeds United certainly have a player on their hands in Solomon, who had found regular football at Tottenham hard to come by.

With a good age profile and a point to prove, there is every reason to believe the wide man will be able to significantly contribute to the club’s promotion bid this season.

Farke still has a pretty threadbare squad in some areas but does have a few forward options, with Solomon, Brenden Aaronson, Willy Gnonto, Dan James, Largie Ramazani and Joel Piroe all pretty interchangeable throughout the three in behind the striker.

It says a lot that Farke threw Solomon straight in for the full 90 on his debut at Elland Road last weekend, with other players often being dipped slowly into the side.

He will be an important acquisition should he stay fit, and could even go on to be a strong permanent signing for the club if he continues to perform.
