Jamie O'Hara blasts Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier

Jamie O’Hara has blasted Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier for his mistake in the build-up to Manchester City’s first goal.

Leeds trail 3-0 at the break at Etihad Stadium against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Meslier made a horrible error in the build-up to City’s opening goal. Stuart Dallas, on the goalline, also made a terrible mistake in clearing the ball out.

O’Hara, the talkSPORT pundit, wrote on Twitter:

“Wow absolutely shambolic goalkeeping and defending from Leeds, would go mad if I see that at non league”

O’Hara is absolutely spot on here.

The home side dominated the first half and Leeds were all over the place.

Prior to the opening goal, Diego Llorente made a silly error in trying to pick up a pass, but Bernando Silva missed a gilt-edged chance from close range.

Soon after, came the first goal through Phil Foden.

Foden found Rodri who skipped past two players to enter the box. Meslier was wat off his line to deny the Spaniard but the loose ball fell to Foden, who shoots from distance.

Dallas, on the goalline, completely miskicked the ball into the net as he tries The positioning was good but it was a nightmare defending, first from Meslier, and then from Dallas.

Jack Grealish scored the second goal for City. Kevin de Bruyne added another with a left-footed effort from close range.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay says the Whites intend to sign a midfielder in January after a major development on Monday.
