Jamie Carragher predicts result of Leeds United Championship clash v Cardiff

Jamie Carragher has made his prediction for the Championship clash between Leeds United and Cardiff City this weekend.

The Whites claimed a comfortable 3-0 win in the FA Cup 3rd round over Peterborough in their last outing, while Cardiff were thumped 4-0 by Sheffield Wednesday in their own FA Cup outing.

And while making his predictions for Super 6 (11 January), Sky Sports pundit Carragher has backed the Whites to continue their upturn in their away form by picking up a 2-1 win in Wales.

Must win

The promotion race is tight this year as it always is, and that little blip of form over the Christmas period means Leeds need to go on a winning run again.

With just two wins from the last six Championship games the team have allowed rivals to close the gap and have made the huge wins over Leicester and Ipswich relatively meaningless.

Cardiff aren’t having a bad season by any means either and they know a win over Leeds would hugely boost their own chances of promotion, so the team must be ready to perform.

Daniel Farke has allowed players to leave in this window and nobody has come in as of this writing, which automatically makes the squad weaker.

Now they need to prove why they’ve been kept around over the other options and prove that more options aren’t needed in their position before the window closes, and hopefully they can prove Mr. Carragher right.
