Jamie Carragher makes Leeds United relegation prediction

Jamie Carragher has tipped Leeds United to get relegated from the Premier League on the final day of the season.

The Whites take on Brentford on the final day of the season at the Community Stadium in West London.

Burnley face Newcastle and should they win that then Leeds will automatically get relegated from the Premier League.

If they lose, then Leeds will need a draw and if they draw then a win against the Bees will be required to keep Jesse Marsch’s men up.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Carragher just does not see it happening.

He said, “Leeds United. Brentford have ended the season on form and will want to give their fans a send-off befitting a sensational campaign. Leeds needed more points going into the last day.”

Tough ask

Beating Brentford is not going to be easy even though Leeds have a better squad than them.

Bees are riding high on their performances in their debut season and will want to end it strongly.

Thomas Frank has made his side extremely hard to beat and Leeds will have to be at their best to get the three points from this one.

What they can hope for is that many of the Brentford players soak in the party atmosphere and are on the beach for the game.

A fast start with an early goal from someone like Raphinha could go a long way towards ensuring Leeds’ Premier League safety and we’re counting on a spirited performance from them.

In Leeds United news, an under-the-radar court case involving the transfer of a Leeds player has reached its conclusion with the final payout revealed.
