Jamie Carragher delivers ‘really worrying’ Leeds United verdict, Gary Neville makes relegation prediction
Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have shared their Leeds United relegation predictions ahead of the crunch clash against Bournemouth on Sunday (30 April).
The Whites currently sit just one point above the Premier League’s bottom three, with five games of the Premier League season remaining after a run of four games without a win.
Speaking on The Overlap (29 April), Carragher admitted that the club’s recent dip in form was “really worrying”, while Neville predicted Leeds to hang on to their Premier League status despite being in “big trouble”.

“I think what has happened of late is really worrying,” Carragher said.
“I think when teams start conceding goals, and lots of goals, and I just feel that Leicester game was a game they had to win when you look at the games that they have to come.
“But what I think at the moment is a two or three-point gap between themselves and the bottom three, and the way the teams are playing down there, that could be a decent gap.”
Neville replied: “I don’t have Leeds going down at the moment.
“They’re in big trouble, but I don’t have them going down, I’ve got them just hanging on.”

Worrying times
Things have gone from bad to worse for Javi Gracia over the past few weeks, and the draw against Leicester City was another frustrating night for the Spaniard.
After taking the lead early on in the encounter and with the incredible Elland Road crowd fully behind them, the fact that Leeds slumped their way towards a 1-1 draw looks very worrying indeed.
The Willy Gnonto omission is also a strange call from Gracia, with fans venting their frustrations and chanting for his inclusion as the second half progressed.
The Italian international is Leeds’ most dangerous player in the final third, and the fact he isn’t playing looks more ludicrous by the week.
If the Whites fail to claim three points against Bournemouth on Sunday (29 April), it feels like it could be the second successive season when Leeds will be fighting for their Premier League status on the last day of the season.
