Jamie Carragher has confirmed that Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is set to be analysed on Monday Night Football.

Sky Sports will be showing live coverage of Fulham against Leicester, followed by Aston Villa’s trip to West Ham.

After that, Carragher and Gary Neville will be looking at Phillips’ showing in the 1-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Carragher was on commentary for the game in Merseyside and handed the Yorkshire Pirlo the Man of the Match award.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon, Carragher confirmed that they will be looking at how Everton should have stopped him.

“Looking at Man Utd 1st part, Fulham’s Ademola Lookman 2nd part,” he said. “Then Leicester v Fulham. Comparing Jack Grealish to a PL great. Then West Ham v Aston Villa analysis after games, Kalvin Phillips & how Everton should have stopped him. Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp, VAR & fixtures.”

Phillips has recovered from his shoulder injury last month and has come back into the fold magnificently in midfield.

After conceding eight goals in two games without him, the Whites have since kept two clean-sheets against established sides such as Arsenal and Everton.

Looking at his performance against Everton, he was incredible.

The 24-year-old was top of the charts in distance covered, touches, passes and possession gained for his side at Goodison Park.

Carragher and Neville have admitted they are big fans of Phillips before, and they will have plenty of things to talk about during tonight’s coverage.

This will be a great watch, and we would encourage all Whites fans to tune in to Sky Sports later on tonight to take it all in.
