Jake Humphrey wants Norwich fans to do what Ipswich fans did in play-off v Leeds United
Jake Humphrey wants Norwich City fans to copy what their Ipswich Town counterparts did when Leeds United arrive at Carrow Road on Sunday.
Daniel Farke will return to East Anglia as Leeds aim to put themselves in a commanding position in the first-leg of their Championship play-off semi-final clash against Norwich.
In a bid to improve the atmosphere at Carrow Road, Norwich have confirmed plans to “create a sea of yellow” for the match on Sunday.
On top of that, celebrity Norwich fan Humphrey wants Norwich fans to welcome the team bus to Carrow Road in the same manner Ipswich fans did.
“I’d love the fans to recreate what Ipswich did for the team bus arrival ahead of the derby at Portman Road. Really make the players feel it,” said the television host via his personal X account on Wednesday (8 May).
“Massive day.”
Will Leeds United beat Norwich in the Championship play-offs?
When people try to predict what will happen in the play-offs, the form of the teams are usually discussed more than anything else – and that’s a bad thing for Leeds.
If we look at the points picked up in the last five Championship games for the four teams in the play-offs, Leeds have the least with just four points from the last 15 available.
Southampton, West Brom and Norwich all have six from their last 15 but Norwich have only won one of those last five, which is the same as Leeds.
Norwich lost to Birmingham on the final day of the regular season with the Midlands club then going on to suffer relegation due to results elsewhere. At least Leeds’ last-day defeat was against Southampton, who finished fourth and just three points behind them.

Leeds do have the quality to beat Norwich but it really is up in the air. You cannot call the play-offs ever.
But one thing is for sure, the Whites are historically dreadful in this kind of situation.
It’s time for them to buck that trend.
