Jaidon Anthony sends two-word message as Leeds United finalise new signing

Jaidon Anthony has sent a message to Joe Rothwell on social media after his transfer to Leeds United was confirmed.

The Englishman has shared a post on Instagram (11 July) to announce that he has completed a season-long loan move to Elland Road.

This news has now been reacted to by the 29-year-old’s Bournemouth teammate and former Leeds loanee Anthony.

The winger offered a two-word message, saying: “Enjoy brother”.

Joe Rothwell confirms Leeds United loan

Leeds have completed the signing of the former Blackburn Rovers midfielder in a positive piece of summer business.

Although a loan deal may not be the most ideal option, the qualities that Rothwell can bring to Daniel Farke’s squad is definitely a plus.

With Archie Gray already out the door this summer, in a move to Tottenham Hotspur, midfield additions were certainly needed.

Rothwell is positive with the ball at his feet whether that be dribbling with the ball or picking out a pass through the lines or over the top.

The 29-year-old struggles with the ball in the air due to his height but he makes up for that downfall in other areas.

There have been plenty of links suggesting that Glen Kamara is facing the exit door at Elland Road so getting Rothwell in quickly could be important.

The pair do share some similarities and either could prove to be a useful partner for Ethan Ampadu moving forward.

Given that the Englishman featured for Southampton last season, Leeds will be hopeful they can follow suit and earn promotion this season.

In other Leeds news, the club are set to block another first-team player from going to the Olympics this summer.
