Jaidon Anthony confirms Leeds United future decision with social media post
Jaidon Anthony has confirmed he will be leaving Leeds and returning to Bournemouth after his loan at Elland Road ends.
The winger joined on deadline day as a late replacement for Colombian winger Luis Sinisterra, who joined the Cherries on an initial loan before making the deal permanent in the middle of the season.
But Anthony won’t be following suit and staying at Leeds for next season as things stand, with the 24-year-old confirming on his personal Instagram account (29 May) that it’s “the end” of his time at the club.
“An honour to wear this shirt,” he wrote. “No secret this has been the toughest year of my life but your support has got me through.
“Not the end any of us wanted but I’ve met some amazing people and created some special memories playing for this club.”
Leeds United likely to move more players on from Elland Road
After failing to earn promotion back to the Premier League, the club have already confirmed that there will likely need to be sales made to balance the books.
Several players are set to leave the club at the end of their contracts, and Anthony is one of those that it makes sense to move on rather than sign permanently.
Anthony always found himself at least fourth in the pecking order behind Crysencio Summerville, Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James and the likelihood is that only one of those players will move on this summer.

That means the Bournemouth ace will be unlikely to move up the pecking order too much, and it just makes sense for all parties to move on and go their separate ways.
Fans will remember his contributions but ultimately this is the right decision for everyone and Daniel Farke must find new solutions for the attacking positions next season.
