Jack Seery agrees temporary Leeds United exit, interim role agreed elsewhere

Leeds United goalkeeper academy coach Jack Seery has agreed to join Bradford Park Avenues on a temporary basis, the Telegraph and Argus has reported.

Seery works with Leeds’ Under-9s to Under-16s teams, as well as with the Wales national team at U15-16 level.

The Telegraph and Argus reported (9 December) that Seery has taken on the temporary position after previous incumbent Danny King left his job at Horsfall.

He has previously worked at Airbus UK Broughton in the Welsh Premier League.

Why not

Seery was appointed to his role at Thorp Arch back in 2018 and has mixed his domestic duties with the Welsh national team, so he is clearly a very busy man when it comes to coaching the goalkeepers of tomorrow.

This opportunity is a decent one for Seery, giving him the opportunity to work at first-team level, albeit it much further down the football pyramid in English football in the none-league game.

But it is all good experience and means Seery will be in a good position experience wise if he were ever needed to step up to the older age groups at academy level or even to step into the breach with the first team.

He certainly has excellent credentials in the game, holding both a UEFA Goalkeepers A Licence and UEFA B Licence. He will need to put his timekeeping to good use by mixing the two roles in the coming weeks.

In other Leeds United news, Cody Drameh appears to be in limbo at Birmingham City.
