Jack Harrison yet to sign Leeds contract, still quarantining - Smyth
Jack Harrison is yet to sign his contract with Leeds United ahead of his permanent move to Elland Road.
The winger has spent three years on loan from Manchester City, and will finally become an official Whites player this month.
Harrison has been away in South America this summer, and is currently quarantining ahead of his return to Thorp Arch.
Graham Smyth has shared a further update on his situation on Twitter, as it was expected that the move would be confirmed today.
It looks as though this quarantine period is delaying everything, even his new contract at Elland Road.
“Can’t sign a contract, pose for photos or do interviews if he’s quarantined,” he wrote.
Everyone was ready for everything to kick off today, as July finally arrived.
Victor Orta wanted his business done before pre-season started, and although Junior Firpo and Harrison look all-but-confirmed, we may need to wait until next week to see them.
The winger has been phenomenal since arriving and delivered more goal involvements than Raphinha last season.
There have been links with other wingers such as Noa Lang already, and it will be interesting to see how Bielsa rates his attackers should other signings be made.
Nothing will stop this one from happening, but it would have been brilliant to see an announcement today to kickstart our business.
Harrison will be at Elland Road the first day he is allowed, signing his contract, taking pictures and announcing the deal – we can’t wait.
