Jack Harrison wows Sky Sports pundit despite behind-the-scenes drama at Leeds United
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has praised Jack Harrison for his recent performances after the winger nearly departed Leeds United in the January transfer window.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay had claimed (31 January) the 26-year-old had made his way to Leicester City’s training ground to undergo a medical ahead of a deadline day move.
However, a deal didn’t materialise and Robinson has suggested the winger’s upturn in form has been “commendable”.
“I think playing with his situation off the field, the on-and-off move to Leicester and how things have been handled, I think he’s a credit to himself,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“His form has improved and I think the situation that he’s in at the club and the performances he’s given is commendable. I thought his goal [against Brighton] was excellent and he’s always capable of that.

“I don’t think his poor form was anything to do with the manager [Jesse Marsch] because he was playing regularly. I think there may have been other factors as to why he was going to leave the club.”
Harrison was certainly at the centre of the action during the Whites’ 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion. The winger will be hoping to continue his upturn in form when Javi Gracia’s side travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday (18 March).
The Yorkshire side are currently second bottom of the Premier League table but can move to within a point of the West Midlanders with a win a Molineux.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has shared a massive regret of the Elland Road faithful as the club made an official announcement a few days ago.
