Jack Harrison sends rare 18-word message after Leeds defeat vs Fulham

Jack Harrison was a second-half substitute for Leeds United at Craven Cottage.

Daniel Farke’s search for his first away win of the season went on as Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Gabriel Gudmundsson’s own goal gifted Marco Silva’s side all three points in what was an otherwise closely contested encounter.

Farke’s attempts to be proactive with second-half substitutes failed, with Harrison one of those brought on to impact the game, and a new message was sent to supporters after the defeat.

Jack Harison shares rare Leeds message on social media

Harrison is still not overly popular at Leeds, and he will be more than aware of that.

As a result, the Englishman has often refrained from posting anything via his social media in regard to Leeds, more than likely out of fear of fan backlash.

However, Farke has reintegrated Harrison into his squad for the Premier League campaign, given fans very few options other than to start backing the winger again, with a message sent to supporters on his Instagram.

After the defeat, he said: “Great fight today, harsh end to the game. Thanks as always for the support. On to next week.”

As for next week, Leeds travel to face winless Wolves on Saturday, with hopes of picking up their second win of the season.

Has Jack Harrison earned a shot at redemption for Leeds?

Quite frankly, given the 49ers’ inability to back Farke in the summer window, Leeds have little option other than to utilise the players they have, and that includes Harrison.

His commitment to the cause is clear, as is his lack of technical ability, which serves as no benefit for the Whites whatsoever.

Once again, Harrison was introduced to the game sooner than Willy Gnonto, who has been treated bizarrely by Farke over the last 12 months or so.

If the Englishman is to have a part to play, and perhaps more importantly, if he is to win back the supporters, his performances need to improve drastically.
