Jack Harrison could exit Leeds United despite Elland Road contract news – Sky Sports pundit

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United

Paul Robinson expects Jack Harrison would leave Leeds United if they are relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Harrison only signed a new deal on 8 April which means he is due to remain at Elland Road until the summer of 2028.

Despite the security of the improved contract, Robinson has suggested the winger will not be playing in the second tier if the Whites do succumb to relegation.

“Also Jack Harrison, Leeds would do very well to hold onto him if they’re in the Championship, in fact, I don’t think they will,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“Jack Harrison is not a Championship player. If Leeds go down, regardless of how long they’ve got left on their contract, somebody will come in and pay the money to take him out.

“The contract is good for him but it also gives Leeds a little bit of financial clout if they were to go down.”

The 26-year-old has been impressive since Gracia’s arrival with three goals and two assists since the Spaniard took the reins at Elland Road.

Harrison will be hoping to continue his impressive form as Leeds travel to Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon to face Fulham, in what is another massive game for Gracia’s side.

In other Leeds United news, even pundits who like nothing more than to wind up the club’s fans couldn’t understand how the goal was allowed.
