Leeds United crashed to a disappointing 1-0 defeat in their Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

Anwar El Ghazi scored the only goal of the game in the opening five minutes, firing home from Ollie Watkins' misplaced shot.

It was a game of few chances, with both sides struggling to create without their playmakers Rodrigo and Jack Grealish at Elland Road.

There was talk before the game that the Whites have a huge advantage with Grealish missing, but that didn't translate on the pitch.

Grealish took to his personal Twitter account to offer his instant reaction, and he was left laughing with plenty of Leeds fans in the responses.

"Ahhh what a time to be alive," he said.

It wasn't an entertaining watch for either side at Elland Road.

Leeds will be disappointed with the defeat, with the Whites dominating the ball and having more chances, although they weren't exactly clear-cut.

According to WhoScored, Leeds kept 69.8% possession of the ball, had four more shots and even made more tackles as they were on top for the majority of the game.

That doesn't mean as much in the Premier League though, with teams having the quality to take advantage of smaller chances.

Grealish has become somewhat of a villain at Elland Road, something he has previously struggled to understand, but maybe now he is playing up to that title.

This will be an easy one to forget for Marcelo Bielsa, who will have his side looking immediately at next week rather than dwelling on the past.
