ITV pundit Ian Wright raves about perfect Leeds United star Tyler Adams before England vs USA
Tyler Adams is “perfect” for Leeds United according to Ian Wright who was filled with praise for the USA captain ahead of their game with England.
The summer arrival from RB Leipzig has become virtually undroppable for Jesse Marsch, and his status in the national side has now followed suit.
Wright has had his eye on the central midfielder and is clearly not surprised at all by the young American’s rise to prominence this year.
Speaking live on the ITV match coverage ahead of kick off he said (25 November, 8.23pm): “I think Tyler Adams is a massive plus for them.
“I think Tyler Adams is the one, gives them all the energy, with the interceptions, he drives them forward. He’s perfect for Leeds with the way they play, with the energy.
“That’s why they started as well as they did, because of the energy he gives them as well.”

After a strong start to life in the Premier League Adams’ profile has been lifted hugely after being handed the USMNT armband by Gregg Berhalter.
As a central figure in the international side, with a game against England to boot, pundits are widely waking up to what Leeds United supporters have felt for months.
He hasn’t been entirely faultless at Elland Road so there is room to improve, but his combative nature in the centre of the park has given the Whites some much-needed bite.
The position turned into a real problem with Kalvin Phillips out last season, but with the England star now long gone Adams has made one of the two anchor positions his own.
Marc Roca has been solid but has a tendency to disappear for stretches where Marsch’s side are under pressure, and while Adams is not unbeatable he is nearly always noticeable in harrying the opposition and snapping into challenges.
English supporters will hope he doesn’t have a stand out game in Qatar against Gareth Southgate’s side, but a strong World Cup overall could be a boost for 23-year-old for when he returns to West Yorkshire.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are eyeing a major attacking transfer for a man who made headlines in Qatar on Friday.
