Italian agent Massimo Grillo wants Bielsa to join Napoli

Italian football agent Massimo Grillo is a big fan of Marcelo Bielsa and wants the Leeds United manager to move to Napoli.

The Whites have caught the eye with their entertaining brand of football and it seems Bielsa has admirers across Europe.

Bielsa has managed in Spain, France and Argentina and there are surely many clubs who would like him as manager.

As quoted by Per Sempre Napoli, Grillo said, “I am a great admirer of Bielsa, currently on the Leeds bench, he is a coach who has a very spectacular game system.

“I would see him [do] really well on the blue bench, I am convinced that he would show captivating football.”

Going nowhere…hopefully

Bielsa is yet to put pen to paper on a new Leeds deal but we are confident he will continue at Elland Road.

He has built a brilliant project here and we are arguably just getting started – the win over Manchester City is hopefully the start of big things to come.

Andrea Radrizzani is determined to get us into Europe and that is a challenge that should entice Bielsa to stay – if he needs any convincing, and we don’t think he does.

He is loved here by fans, players and pundits alike, and he seems to have a real affinity with the city – there is no reason for him to leave and certainly not to go to another club in Europe.

And certainly not to a country like Italy – Serie A clubs are notorious for their impatience and frequent sacking of managers.

Bielsa had a negative experience with Lazio, quitting the club after just two days in July 2016, so is likely not keen on a move back there anytime soon.

Signing a new contract would put to bed any speculation that Bielsa could leave, and hopefully we receive that news soon.
