Inter Milan view sale of Leeds United striker Willy Gnonto as one of greatest regrets
Inter Milan are reportedly regretting the sale of Willy Gnonto to Zurich after which he sealed a move to Leeds United in the summer.
According to Inter Live [February 10], the Serie A outfit twice had the chance to give the Italy international a chance to prove his worth.
However, after seeing the start he’s had at Leeds and scoring a goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Inter view letting him go as one of their “greatest regrets”.

Bargain
The nature of his signing was an odd one which is why many Leeds fans would not have overly been thrilled by his arrival.
The Whites spent the entire summer chasing a striker and looked close to signing a couple of them even on transfer deadline day.
However, they ended up with Gnonto in the final minutes of the window and given his age and lack of experience in a big-five league, many Leeds fans felt that the board let them down.
Even though the teenager does not play as an out-and-out striker, he has played as a nine in the past and even if played out wide, has the tendency to drift in.

This is what makes him such a potent goal threat and Leeds are lucky they signed for a pittance as his valuation clearly has quadrupled despite him being at the club for just half a season.
Per the Daily Mail, he was signed for just £3.8million in the summer and given his age and how he’s fared in the Premier League that seems to be an absolute bargain.
