Inter Milan now want to sign Leeds United star Tyler Adams after World Cup breakout

Leeds United star Tyler Adams is certainly catching the eye at the World Cup with Inter Milan joining the long list of admirers, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper has reported that Piero Ausilio has added the American to his Director’s list with a new midfielder on the agenda at the San Siro.

Given Leeds have only just signed Adams and handed him a contract to 2027, it is described as a “very complex” situation with a race mooted already.

Ausilio appears to have watched Adams out in Qatar, and that has only said to increase his desire to get a deal over the line should it become possible.

It has been an incredible start to life at Elland Road for the midfielder, who has seen links to the likes of Manchester United too, although that is far-fetched.

No chance.

There is no way that this transfer happens.

Not in January, the summer or beyond as Adams is one of those players who you simply have to build your team around moving forward in the Premier League.

Jesse Marsch will also know that, and for as long as he is at the club, Adams will be the centre-piece of this side that we all love watching every single week.

Given it cost more than £20million to bring him to the club, shining in the Premier League and at the World Cup will only have doubled that at least.

Leeds sold their best two assets in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha over the summer, and that cannot become a familiar thing every single year or progression simply won’t happen.

With serious investment on the way from the 49ers Enterprises, Adams can stick around knowing he won’t be sold and it is time to move forward with him at the club.

In other Leeds United news, a first-team defender may not have long left at Elland Road after “Awful” footage emerges from this month, making a January transfer imperative.
