Injury news as Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville receives treatment v Monaco
Leeds United attacker Crysenscio Summerville suffered an injury in the game against AS Monaco on Saturday, 22 July, claims Graham Smyth.
The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist, who was in attendance at the game, stated that he was receiving treatment on the pitch for a knock.
Summerville started the game as Daniel Farke looks to settle on an established XI ahead of the new season.
Via Twitter, Smyth wrote, “Sinisterra curls one into the area for James, header is off target, with keeper off his line. Gray involved again, linking up with Sinisterra. A real feature of the first half.
“Summerville down getting treatment. He’s taken a few whacks already.”
Hope he’s fine
The way the Dutchman plays, it’s evident that he’s going to draw a lot of fouls but this is a pre-season game.
Hopefully, the treatment he received was just for a knock and not something that will be sore in the coming days and keep him out of action.
Pre season is usually for players to get their fitness levels back and prove to the managers why they deserve to start.

Getting injured means that the game was unnecessarily physical, and Monaco need to be careful with how they play.
Summerville has been linked with the exit door this summer but there does seem to be a feeling that he’ll stay and play regularly.
If Wilfried Gnonto and Jack Harrison leave, he’ll be further pushed up the pecking order and will get a chance of racking up decent numbers.
