Injury expert shares Leeds United update ahead of Premier League clash v Newcastle United

Leeds United will be without four first-team players for their Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Saturday, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.

Tyler Adams and Stuart Dallas are long-term absentees from Sam Allardyce’s squad and won’t feature against the Magpies at Elland Road. Luis Sinisterra is also out for the season with an ankle injury.

Liam Cooper is “ruled out” of the clash against Eddie Howe’s men, with Dinnery suggesting the Scot should return on 28 May (Premier injuries).

For Leeds to walk away from the Etihad having only lost by one goal was an impressive achievement. City were in complete control throughout but struggled to break down the Whites’ stubborn defensive line. It’s a resilience we haven’t seen from the players for a long time.

They looked cohesive, they looked together, and there’s certainly something to build on heading into the last three games of the 2022/23 season. Four points are a minimum for Allardyce’s side. The home clash against Newcastle looks like an extremely testing fixture, but, at this point in the season, Leeds cannot afford to drop points.

Elland Road, on its day, can be an extremely hostile environment for opposition players. The players have to use the fans to their advantage. Newcastle are also desperate for points. Their recent home loss to Arsenal means they need a victory to ensure their Champions League qualification bid remains on track.
