Injury expert shares early Leeds United team news for showdown v Wolves in Premier League

Leeds United have three players ruled out for their upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves on Saturday (18 March), according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.

Writing for the Premier Injuries website, Dinnery shared that manager Javi Gracia will still be without an experienced trio for the trip to the Molineux Stadium, while no other injury concerns arose from the 2-2 draw against Brighton.

Liam Cooper is ruled out with a muscular injury that has a potential return date of 01 April, while the injury-plagued Adam Forshaw remains sidelined with a groin and hip issue.

Defender Stuart Dallas doesn’t yet have a return date from his femur injury that has kept him sidelined for the Whites since April 2022, when he suffered a femur fracture against Manchester City.

Rodrigo faced a late fitness test before the clash with Brighton, one he may have just passed by the skin of his teeth after featuring off the bench.

Squeaky bum time

Although Leeds continue to perform admirably under Gracia and look like a far more organised team than under Jesse Marsch, they are still struggling to pick up consistent wins in the Premier League.

The 2-2 draw with Brighton at Elland Road at the weekend was a good result when looking at it individually, but considering the wins that the club’s relegation rivals picked, it could be seen as two points missed out on.

Although Jack Harrison popped up with a beautiful goal to earn a point, Leeds are still lacking a consistent goal threat in attack.

The return of Rodrigo to the starting line-up simply can’t come soon enough for Gracia and his men. The upcoming clash against Wolves is the definition of a relegation six-pointer, and the club are in desperate need of a strong performance before the international break.

The Elland Road faithful will pray that Rodrigo is deemed fit enough to start against Julen Lopetegui’s side and hopefully get his name back on the scoresheet.
