We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...

Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville may have a full muscle rupture if his injury is worse than what was previously expected, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it’s highly unlikely that’s the case but muscle issues have the tendency to worsen.

However, given the fact that Leeds were leading 4-0 at half-time against Huddersfield, Daniel Farke perhaps appeared to be cautious as the Dutchman was feeling some discomfort.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Summerville:

The worst case scenario is also a full rupture but also very unlikely to be the case.

If that’s the case, he could be out for weeks.

I’m sure the score played a part with him coming off as the risk/reward then skews highly towards unnecessary risk.

After the game, Farke said that he hoped Summerville’s injury wasn’t too serious but did not confirm the same, according to LeedsLive.

The attacker had an exceptional game for the Whites, scoring two goals and providing as many assists in a five-star display.

He has been in stellar form for Leeds this season and has made the right wing position his own at Elland Road.

In other Leeds United, the Whites may turn to signing a new left-back in January who’s a long-term target and the ideal Junior Firpo replacement.
