We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...

Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas seems to be some way away from making his first-team return post a broken femur, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert reacts as the Northern Ireland international has been training individually but is expected to join the first-team sessions soon.

Dallas has not played professional football since his horrific injury against Manchester City back in February 2022.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Dallas:

The best case scenario is that he’s soon able to train with the first team team consistently so his return after the international break is not on the cards.

He recently had to go back to individual team training but that’s not unexpected considering how long he’s been out for.

Once the physios are happy with that progress, they’ll likely move him into first-team training again but his intensity will start increasing soon”.

Daniel Farke will be delighted to have Dallas’ expertise to call upon in the coming weeks as he’ll surely be able to offer something unique.

His return will also be a major boost for the dressing room as he’s understood to be quite a popular personality behind the scenes.

Even the Elland Road faithful will be delighted to see him returning to the first team again after being out for so long.

In other Leeds United, the Whites may turn to signing a new left-back in January who’s a long-term target and the ideal Junior Firpo replacement.
