Injured Leeds ace posts encouraging behind-the-scenes update, Liam Cooper reacts

Injured Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw has returned to the gym after undergoing surgery on his hip in the States last week.

Forshaw, 28, has not played for the Whites since September 28 due to a problematic hip injury that has only just been sorted out by an operation.

The former Middlesbrough player jetted out to Colorado last week to have an operation to fix the issue but, unfortunately, the procedure meant that his season was confirmed to be over.

However it does seem as though Forshaw is making progress in his recovery after he took to his personal Instagram account on Monday to show a picture of himself on an exercise bike.

Forshaw is recuperating at The Steadman Clinic in Colorado and while he wishes he was a bit more tanned, it is good to see the player with a smile on his face and in such good spirits.

“No filter could make my legs look browner but glad to be on the bike anyway,” he said.

Leeds captain Liam Cooper responded to Forshaw’s post with a fist-bump emoji while plenty of supporters send their best wishes to the crocked midfield ace, who had been so impressive for them at the start of the season.

It is good to see Forshaw recovering but this all should have happened a lot sooner and a replacement really should have been signed in January.

Yes, there are plenty of positives surrounding Elland Road at the moment but let’s hope that Marcelo Bielsa is not forced into playing Ben White or Stuart Dallas in the centre of the midfield again this season.

In other Leeds United news, Jermaine Beckford is baffled that Leeds didn’t sign this available player in January.
