Illan Meslier verdict shared after Leeds United red card v Preston
Leeds United star Illan Meslier will have been asking himself what he had done in the dressing room after being sent off against Preston, according to Jon Newsome.
The BBC pundit smashed into the goalkeeper after his “foolish” moment raising his hand against his opponent in the 2-1 defeat on Tuesday 26 October.
Karl Darlow was brought in by Daniel Farke and will now get a decent run in the first-team in the upcoming three Championship games.

Speaking live on BBC Radio Leeds, Newsome reacted to the wild moment from the young Frenchman who should simply know better at this stage.
“It was silly, it was foolish [by Meslier] and he will be sitting there in the dressing room thinking ‘what have I done?’. But it’s too late,” he said.
“Sometimes a bit of adversity galvanises the lads, and let’s hope that it does.”

Embarrassing.
No matter how pathetic the dive onto the ground was, it was a red card every day of the week and there are no excuses for Meslier, who is way beyond his years of experience.
He simply cost Leeds three points this afternoon and the chance to close the gap even further on Ipswich has been wasted yet again, how many times have we said that this season?
Farke will be raging with the keeper and the fans are too, these are the moments that we will all look back on should automatic promotion not be earned.
There is nowhere to hide right now, and this could be a message to the manager to finally change his starting XI too, which was nothing short of shocking at Deepdale.
Players like Archie Gray and Dan James look completely knackered and could do with a rest, with the likes of Wilfried Gnonto surely chomping at the bit.
This was yet another afternoon to forget in Lancashire, Meslier may be set for a long stay on the bench.
In other Leeds United news, Farke to hold talks with loanee about early termination and January return.
