Illan Meslier, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra may have already played last games for Leeds United – Beren Cross

Illan Meslier, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra may have already played their last game for Leeds with four more likely to follow if they are relegated, according to Beren Cross.

The Whites host Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on the final day of the season, needing to win and hoping that both Everton and Leicester drop points in the process to avoid the drop to the Championship.

But according to Leeds-Live (28 May), should they fail in their pursuit of survival there could be seven names set to leave the club without including the two players who are set to see their contracts expire after the game.

“Adam Forshaw and Joel Robles are the only names out of contract this summer, while the likes of Illan Meslier, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra may have already played their last games in LS11,” he wrote.

“Robin Koch, Jack Harrison, Rodrigo and Weston McKennie could be among those playing for the last time in white if they are relegated.”

It’s fair to say that at the start of the season nobody expected to be in this type of position on the final day of the season after the transfer window we had and the start we had.

But there’s no way on Earth that there are any Leeds fans who expect the likes of Adams, Sinisterra, Rodrigo, McKennie and Koch to stick around in the second division when they will have interest from top clubs.

Meslier was dropped for the run-in by Sam Allardyce and the chances of him sticking around are slim too, especially in a lower division, and the club are likely to be open to a big-money offer for him at this stage too.

McKennie’s loan move from Juventus has been nothing short of a disaster and even if we stayed in the division it seems unlikely that he’ll stick around, while Forshaw and Robles’ lack of contract offer shows where the club stand on that.

Harrison is a tough one because he only recently renewed his contract, but ultimately it would be more of a surprise this summer if all these players were still here than not next year should relegation be confirmed.
