Illan Meslier took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the 1-1 draw on Friday night between Leeds United and Newcastle.

The Whites, who were looking for their first win of their season, started the game strongly and took the lead through Raphinha's long-ranged cross which ended up finding its way into the back of the net.

However, they were pegged back by an Allan Saint-Maximin wonder goal which saw both teams share the spoils at St James' Park.

Meslier, who had a relatively impressive game, wrote, via his personal Twitter account, "Frustrating night but we keep going."

Need that win

A first win at the start of a new season can be extremely elusive and Leeds have found that out the hard way.

Five games in and they're still searching for their best form and unfortunately, their first three points.

Certain players have started the campaign strongly, but most haven't seemed to get out of second gear, which has led to Marcelo Bielsa finding his side on the wrong end of the table.

Things have to change soon and the Whites desperately a run of at least three or four wins on the bounce.

It will give them some confidence for the rest of the season and will ease whatever nerves there might be at Elland Road.

We know that Bielsa is not going to change anything about the way they train or play, so it's up to the team to step and deliver.
