Ian Wright believes Junior Firpo is not settled at Leeds United
Ian Wright believes that Leeds United summer signing Junior Firpo is still finding his feet at the club and the Premier League.
The BBC Match of the Day pundit believes that the English top flight is a ‘ruthless’ competition and the loss of few key players could have devastating effects for teams.
That’s primarily why he believes that the former Barcelona full-back has been “half decent” thus far.

Speaking on Wrighty’s House podcast, he said, “I think Firpo looks half-decent, but it still feels like he’s taking his time to settle in.
“It’s so ruthless, this league. If you lose a couple of players, and you have a certain way of playing and it’s integral to what you’re doing and you lose them, it’s not like anyone in this league is going to go ‘let’s take it easy’. They’re going to crush you!”
Getting better
Fitting into Marcelo Bielsa’s system is far from easy and it’s no surprise that Firpo is still finding his feet.
This is why Gjanni Alioski was so pivotal to this Leeds side and why Bielsa and the hierarchy wanted him to stay.

While he may have been suspect defensively, going forward he knew just what Bielsa wanted and that’s something Firpo is soon coming to grips with.
His recent performance in the win against Watford showcased that he is improving and we back him to succeed in the coming months.
That game was arguably his best in a Leeds shirt and hopefully, he works doubly as hard on his game in the international break.
Bielsa has trusted in him despite a few early niggles and has not asked Stuart Dallas to take his place, which suggests that the Spaniard is firmly trusted by the Argentine.
