Ian Wright and Alex Scott laugh at Leeds United as ‘worrying’ Elland Road prediction shared after 5-1 Crystal Palace loss
Alex Scott and Ian Wright couldn’t hold back the laughs when trying to analyse Leeds United after the Whites’ 5-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
Roy Hodgson’s men produced a fine second-half performance to inflict a damaging loss on Javi Gracia’s men and plunge Leeds back into the relegation equation.
When analysing Leeds’ performance on Match of the Day, Scott and Wright suggested the Yorkshire side had been “space jammed” and lost all of their “talent”.

Scott said (BBC Match of the Day, 42m 29s, 9 April): “Talking about Leeds, what happened to Leeds?”
Wright replied [laughing]: “It’s like they got space jammed and someone took their talent off of them.
“That second-half performance was worrying because that’s relegation form. They were playing that badly when you need points at home, to get beaten like that after a performance like that in the first half, it’s very worrying.
Scott added: “They’ve been space jammed [laughing].”
Damaging
That was an extremely damaging afternoon and it’s hard to understand what went wrong in the second half. Leeds were cut apart on the counterattack, with Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze causing the Whites all sorts of problems.
There were signs against Nottingham Forest that the counterattack could well be used to exploit Gracia’s men and Palace executed it to perfection on Sunday (8 April). Leeds were far too gung-ho in their approach, particularly when chasing the game with still over 30 minutes left to play.

The win over Forest has now been firmly forgotten about and it’s up to the Spaniard to ensure the players are confident heading into Monday’s fixture against Liverpool at Elland Road (17 April).
Jurgen Klopp’s men are coming off of an impressive draw against Arsenal and could cause the Whites similar problems if the same defensive issues still reside.
With teams around the Whites picking up results over the weekend, the loss to Palace could well prove to be a significant moment.
