Ian Poveda returns to Leeds United training after injury with Blackburn - report
Ian Poveda has returned to training with Leeds United after injury with Blackburn, and could return to play for the Championship side again before the end of the season.
Poveda has spent the season on loan with Rovers in the second tier, but suffered a broken ankle back in November and has been rehabilitating at Thorp Arch.
But according to James Marshment, editor of TEAMtalk, he is now back on the training ground and could feature for the Championship outfit once again before the end of the season.
In a tweet on his personal Twitter account, Marshment said Poveda was ‘moving and running freely’ as he geared up for a return to action.
TeamTALK say Leeds will not stand in his way of a return to Ewood Park for the remainder of the season, with his first-team opportunities better suited there than Elland Road.

Poveda’s injury troubles came at a bad time for the player, after making eight starts in the Championship and registering two assists and scoring his first senior goal.
But staying at Elland Road, even for the next few weeks, would rob him of his potential game time and more development before returning to Leeds in the summer.
The club will re-evaluate his playing time and he’ll likely be allowed to leave again after having half a season on the sidelines, which will provide him with more opportunity.
Leeds don’t need him right now. They have Rodrigo, Daniel James, Jack Harrison, Raphinha, Crysencio Summerville, Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt available in attacking positions.
It’s positive that he has been able to recover though and if he can get back to the level he was showing previously, then it will only be a good thing for Poveda and Leeds.
