Ian Harte: Leeds ace who was previously ‘very frustrating’ has drastically improved
Ian Harte has heaped praise on the drastic improvement of Leeds United winger Jack Harrison this season.
The former Whites defender claimed that he was way too frustrating during his first year at the club last season, something he has changed significantly in this campaign.
Leeds have the option to make Harrison’s loan move from Manchester City into a permanent switch at the end of this season.
Harte questioned whether or not Leeds would make that move with Harrison, with a couple of other players potentially higher up in their agenda.
“I must be honest, I think he’s done a hell of a lot better this season,” he told Football League World.
“Last season he was very, very frustrating, he was hot and cold. He’s a player that has improved.
“I’m not sure what the structure is (of the deal) and how much Leeds would have to buy him for if they’re going to keep him, but there’s one or two more players at the club on loan that they will want to keep.”
There is no doubting that Harrison has improved dramatically this season under Marcelo Bielsa, and has become a real focal point of this side.
The 23-year-old has already scored one more goal in this campaign and has registered more than double the number of assists in the Championship.
On top of that, he also averages more shots on goal per game and has now doubled his output in terms of key passes according to WhoScored – clearly impressing Harte.
