‘I really thought was quite sweet’ – Sky Sports pundit raves about video of Leeds trio
David Prutton was happy to see a video chat between Leeds United stars Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips earlier this week.
As shown on Sky Sports Football’s YouTube channel, Prutton spoke with the Leeds trio about life during lockdown when there is no football to play.
Although it is a tough, unprecedented time for everyone in the country, the Whites players were all in good spirits and Prutton believes that shows how well they get along and what team morale is like.
“There was that light hearted ribbing and the micky taking which goes on in every single workplace but can be even more ferocious in a football dressing room,” the Sky Sports pundit wrote on the Yorkshire Evening Post website.
“But there was also a nice insight into how they are keeping fit which obviously might change a little bit now.
“You got a genuine sense of them actually missing that day to day time and each other’s company which I really thought was quite sweet.”
Teams that are doing well usually have a very closely-knit squad of players who get along well with one another off the pitch, as well as on it.
It is clear from Sky Sports’ chat with the Leeds trio that they get on very well with one another and are keeping in touch despite the current lockdown.
It is one thing being on the same level when you’re playing in a match but to have chemistry in the dressing room, on the training ground or just in general life, that is something really special and why we love this Leeds side so much.
