'I don't think...' - Ben White makes bold Leeds comparison to Premier League clubs
Ben White has claimed that no other Premier League club will train as hard as Leeds United this season.
The Brighton defender recalled his loan spell at Elland Road last season and claimed that Marcelo Bielsa demands huge amounts from his squad.
Those demands have delivered great success though, with the Whites enjoying a brilliant start to life in the Premier League.
White opened up on his move to Leeds, claiming that it is nice to finally have a day off occasionally after moving back to Brighton over the summer.
“He’s very intense. The training sessions were long,” he told Sky Sports, via Leeds Live.
“Sometimes we’d be out there for two-and-a-half hours. Double sessions, going through my clips, seeing what I’d done wrong, what I could do better.
“I don’t think anyone trains the same as Leeds do now, so it was a little bit different coming back and having a day off every now and then is nice.”
Missing Elland Road
White may enjoy having more time off at Brighton, but he would surely have preferred to have been back in West Yorkshire this season after his loan.
Kalvin Phillips shared in the past week that his good friend was left “gutted” after a proposed permanent move to Leeds collapsed.
Brighton claimed they wouldn’t sell any of their players to a direct rival in the Premier League, and he ended up signing a new four-year deal instead.
Leeds have found another defensive superstar in Robin Koch now though, and he is really cementing his spot in the back four with a string of impressive performances.
