Hull City injury news as Ozan Tufan set to return for Championship clash v Leeds United
Hull City midfielder Ozan Tufan could return to the side to face Leeds United in the Championship on Wednesday 20 September, according to Baz Cooper.
The Hull Daily Mail correspondent, taking to his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon (18 September) shared that the Turkish international could be involved in Wednesday’s game against Leeds at the MKM stadium.
The 28-year-old midfielder missed the Tigers’ last two outings with a thigh injury and it’s been reported that a decision is now set to be made over the next couple of training sessions.

Leeds must continue momentum
Tufan is a key player for Hull. His range of passing, creativity, and overall attacking threat in the midfield really complement the style of play that Liam Rosenier is trying to incorporate at the MKM Stadium, which means he may be a decisive component in Wednesday’s game.

Hull City have been in good and steady form in the opening weeks of the campaign, currently sitting fifth in the Championship standings on ten points from five games and two points from Leeds United.
This latest injury news certainly doesn’t spell good news for the Whites but Daniel Farke and his men simply can’t afford to be worrying about their opponent’s key players but about themselves.
Leeds have certainly turned a corner right now after their resounding and impressive 3-0 win over Millwall on Sunday afternoon and while Hull City may boast about the potential return of Tufan, Farke can boast about the return to form of Georginio Rutter and the instant impact of one of the division’s best strikers over the last couple seasons in Joel Piroe.
The Whites will be looking to carry on their momentum in what will be a testing contest on Wednesday evening but Leeds United have an abundance of attacking talent which means they are a match for any Championship team right now, no matter their good form.
Another must-win game for Farke to climb the table.
