How Erling Haaland could create piece of history vs Leeds United at Elland Road
Leeds United host Manchester City in what could be a mouth-watering clash at Elland Road on Saturday.
The Whites come into the match having secured a point away to Aston Villa, and although the result looks good on paper, conceding another late goal on the road was incredibly frustrating for Daniel Farke.
As for Man City, they are five points off league leaders Arsenal, but they fully believe that they can close the gap and win their seventh top-flight title under Pep Guardiola.
One man who has spearheaded their success in recent years is Leeds-born striker Erling Haaland, and he could make Premier League history if he finds the back of the net on multiple occasions this Saturday.

Erling Halland can create history at Elland Road
Haaland has been in incredible form this season, which is hardly out of the ordinary, and he’ll be looking forward to returning to LS11.
The Leeds-born striker scored two Premier League goals on his last visit to Elland Road in December 2022 for Man City, although he has not netted in his two home games against the Whites.
No visiting player has scored two or more goals in consecutive Premier League visits to Leeds.

His father, Alf-Inge Haaland, played for the Whites between 1997 and 2000, making 74 appearances and scoring eight times.
Despite being ineffective in the reverse fixture this season, Haaland was ruthless when Man City recorded a 3-1 win over Leeds in 2022.
The Norwegian striker has proven himself as the best goalscorer of this generation, and Leeds fans will be worried that he’ll turn up in LS11 once more.
The 25-year-old has shown his love towards Leeds in the past, and he’ll likely get a warm reception on Saturday.

What has Haaland most recently said about Leeds?
Man City beat Galatasaray 2-0 in January, and Haaland proved his allegiance to the Peacocks after scoring in the first half.
He wheeled away in celebration before doing what is often referred to as the Leeds salute in front of the travelling supporters.
After the match, he addressed the gesture in an interview and highlighted how his ties with Elland Road will never fade, with some Leeds fans even holding out hope he will one day join.
He said: “It was planned. I didn’t feel like cheering. I have respect for Leeds, where I was born.
“Not in my wildest dreams did I think I would play at Elland Road for City against Leeds. You can’t even dream about it, because it’s so surreal, with a father who has played for both clubs. I am proud today!”
