Although no new faces have arrived through the door at Leeds United, you can’t say that they haven’t been trying.
Ben White was the star of the show last season in the Championship, and the Whites have had two bids recently rejected for the defender.
Sky Sports have reported that the latest bid was worth up to £22million, with the youngster also rejecting a new contract at the AMEX.
White is seen as a priority at Elland Road by Marcelo Bielsa, and it appears that Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta are doing all they can to secure his services.
It is clearly not going to be straight forward though, and it appears like the Leeds fans are starting to do all they can to help.
On a weekend where the Champions League finally returned, one look on Twitter and it was flooded with the hashtag “freebenwhite” – something which eventually was trending in the United Kingdom.
Jermaine Beckford even responded to the trending hashtag, claiming that it was “amazing” how much power the Leeds fans have online.
“How amazing are Leeds United fans! During the champions league, #freebenwhite is trending! Love that!” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

With nearly 20,000 fans tweeting to help the club, that is more than half of a packed out Elland Road and has to be respected.
No wonder White is rejecting new deals at Brighton when he can see these levels of support from a fanbase that he has only played in front of for one season.
The Leeds fans fell in love with White, and no doubt he fell in love with them but it is uncertain whether he has turned down those contract offers to force a move – one thing for sure, he is always welcome in West Yorkshire.
