Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen want to sign Leeds United defender Cody Drameh
Bundesliga clubs Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United defender Cody Drameh in January.
According to The Daily Mail, the two German clubs, along with Nottingham Forest want to sign the 20-year-old Leeds U-23s ace.
Despite the club’s growing injury concerns, Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that a few youngsters could leave on loan.

He said, via LeedsLive, “It’s a subject where it’s a possibility. Players that are immediately below the group of the first-team [U23s], only have one reason to stay at the club – that they have real possibilities to dispute a place in the team, that they have the desire to fight for their space and show that they deserve it.”
Must consider
While a move to Forest would ensure that he’s still in England and would gain much-needed Championship experience, it’s important that he gets a taste of playing in another country.
The level of the Championship is nothing compared to the Bundesliga and that would be a solid platform for him to showcase his worth.
Much like the Premier League and especially Leeds, matches in the German first division are played at a very high tempo and reliant on counter-pressing.

Both Leverkusen and Hoffenheim are among the better clubs in Germany and will be fighting for a top-four finish there.
The “exciting” Drameh would thrive in either of those systems and maybe even take his game to the next level there.
It’s important that Leeds do not sanction a permanent exit or even give those clubs an option to sign him at the end of his loan spell.
