Heaton deal could trigger Peacock-Farrell bid
Aston Villa are on the brink of completing an £8m deal for Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton, but one journalist thinks the deal could have a knock-on effect for Leeds.
Tom Cardnuff from Sporting Life said he expects Burnley to come in with a bid for Bailey Peacock-Farrell with the Premier League side having identified him as a player to work with Nick Pope.

Any legs in this?
It looks like Kiko Casilla is set to be Leeds’ number one again, despite talk linking him with a move away this summer.
The initial Burnley link came from Alan Nixon, who is a good source of transfer information.
Of course, it’s one thing Burnley putting a bid in and another Leeds accepting it and leaving themselves light at the back with just four days to go before the new season kicks off.

However, Peacock-Farrell said himself in June that he would only stay at Leeds if he was played more often and he might prefer a pay rise and a bench role at Burnley than playing understudy in the Championship.
BURNLEY. Keeping an eye on Peacock-Farrell at LEEDS in case lose one or two keepers. Still want around 10m from VILLA for Heaton who could yet sign a deal to stay.

It’s definitely one to watch and Leeds fans won’t want to lose such an important player at this stage in the season.
Casilla made a number of big mistakes last season – not least the clanger that cost Leeds in the play-off semi-final against Derby – and a solid back-up is vital.
