Phil Hay shares chances of Kiko Casilla leaving Leeds in January window

Phil Hay has claimed that there is little chance of Kiko Casilla leaving Leeds United in the January transfer window.

The Spaniard has only played twice since his racism ban last season and was shocking in the 3-0 defeat in the FA Cup against Crawley on Sunday.

Hay reported that Marcelo Bielsa is happy to have Casilla in his squad, and doesn’t see him leaving this month, either on loan or permanently.

Speaking on BBC West Yorkshire Sport Daily, Hay admitted that he believes Casilla should have left Elland Road after his racism charge last season.

“I don’t think it’s particularly high,” he said.

“He is on a long contract, and he is on high wage and there doesn’t seem to be vast interest in him. I think that what’s apparent, as well, is that Bielsa is happy to have him in the camp.

“He does look like a player whose confidence has gone.”

How many more times will we have to put up with Casilla?

The Spaniard has caused nothing but problems for Leeds in the past year, on and off the pitch, and it honestly still shocks us how he is still at Elland Road.

For Bielsa to be happy with the stopper is ludicrous.

It is hard to remember the last positive thing Casilla did for the club, and players like this are simply dragging the Whites through the mud every time he is mentioned.

Casilla is currently earning over £32,000-a-week according to Spotrac, which is in the top six of players at the club, and he isn’t even playing.

The Whites are consistently making mistakes with the keeper, and it appears as though they are set to make yet another one this month.
